HelloFresh is seeking a (Senior) Site Financial Controller for the Verden production site. You will join the Controlling and FP&A team supporting Factor EU, managing P&L, budgeting, and monthly closings with a focus on accuracy and process improvements.

You will partner with operations, HR and global leadership to drive profitability, inventory accuracy and robust forecasting. The role offers hybrid work with regular site visits to Verden or Berlin.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in STEM, business administration, finance or economics.
• 3+ years in an operations-finance controlling role.
• Strong understanding of P&L and accounting topics.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Based in Verden or able to travel regularly by train.

Aufgaben

• Own weekly and monthly financial reporting for F_EU warehousing and production operations.
• Own the month end closing cycle for the operations, including accruals and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance and Fulfillment teams to ensure quality inventory records.
• Lead quarterly and annual business planning for production sites.
• Perform long-term scenario analyses and forecasting related to site operations.
• Act as a finance business partner to F_EU finance leadership, site leadership, HR, and global production leadership.

Your role

As (Senior) Site Financial Controller (f/m/d/x) you will be part of the Controlling and FP&A team responsible for Factor EU. Our Team is tasked with safeguarding and owning the financial health of the companies operating in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. Specifically, they are focused on everything in and around the P&L. We maintain and drive a by-annual budget cycle, serve as active business partners to the operations teams, and execute an impeccable and audit-proof financial closing round each month end. The team strives for continuous improvement in all financial and operational processes and is expected to proactively move the business forward on its profitable growth trajectory. You are responsible for all things finance at our production site in Verden. The role is broad and demanding and therefore requires excellent fundamentals in operational controlling, management accounting, and financial accounting. This position reports to the Head of Finance of Factor EU. The role can be based out of the site in Verden or Hybrid, based in our offices in Berlin. If hybrid, regular visits at the site are mandatory (~20%).

Your area of responsibility

• You own the weekly and monthly financial reporting for F_EU warehousing and production operations
• You own the month end closing cycle for the operations, starting with accruals and finishing with high quality variance analysis
• You work with the Finance team and the fulfillment teams at the site to prepare and ensure quality inventory records
• You execute the quarterly and annual business planning for both production sites
• You execute long-term scenario analyses and forecasting as it relates to site operations
• You serve as a reliable finance business partner to F_EU finance leadership, the production site leadership, site HR departments and the global production leadership. You challenge, sensitize and support workforce staffing and compensation decisions.
• You continuously improve the processes that stand behind all aspects of F_EU operations financial reporting, budgeting and controlling

Your profile

• You have a university degree in STEM-related fields, Business Administration, Finance or Economics
• You have gained a minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar operations - finance controlling role
• You know your way around a P&L and are highly fluent in financial and management accounting topics
• You have strong financial modeling skills
• You have a great interest in operational processes and their impact on financial outcomes
• You excel at business partnering through strong communication, organization, and a hands-on mentality
• You are able to solve problems in a structured and transparent way
• You are based out of Verden or with an ability to travel regularly via train
• Deadlines do not bother you, but rather motivate you
• SQL skills are a strong plus
• Prior touchpoints with Adaptive and Oracle are a plus but not required
• You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
