Your Mission
The Security Engineering team focuses on strengthening security-critical components in eHealth, automotive, IoT, mobile, and government applications.
As a Senior Security Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in enhancing the cybersecurity of our clients’ products and projects. Your work may involve hardening electronic ID documents, mobile devices, and trusted key storage or control units.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analysing and developing security requirements for various product types and embedded systems – including Secure Elements and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) – in the fields of embedded, mobile, and cloud security.
- Designing security architectures in close cooperation with product architects, ensuring that protective measures align with both functionality and performance requirements.
- Advising on security certifications (e. g. Common Criteria or equivalent standards) and supporting the planning and execution of evaluations.
- Integrating cybersecurity aspects into development processes: supporting our clients in establishing secure development, testing, and deployment lifecycles in line with standards such as ISO 15408, ISO 27001, ISO 21434, or IEC 62443.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in the field of Security Engineering
- Preference for conceptual work to solve complex problems at a strategic level
- Analytical mindset, thorough working method and ability to work in a team
- Experience in security evaluation and certification of IT products (according to Common Criteria, FIPS or other security certification standards)
- Experience in information security management and IT network security
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally
The following are considered beneficial:
- Experience in security analysis and hardening of high-security embedded systems
- General knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols
- Practical experience in software development
- Basic knowledge of network communication and its protocols (e.g. TLS)
- Experience in working with DevOps tools (e.g. Git, Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Experience in dealing with bug tracking systems (e.g. Jira, YouTrack)
