Job summary

Axel Springer News Media National is seeking a security-focused engineer who collaborates with product, platform and engineering teams to strengthen security across the software development lifecycle. You will shape secure architectures and enable teams to build innovative products with confidence.

You will stay on top of emerging technologies and bring new security approaches, including AI-related capabilities, into our products and platforms while promoting secure web applications and cloud

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in IT security.
• Focus on web application security or cloud infrastructure security.
• Experience with modern programming languages, scripting languages and frameworks.
• Deep expertise in security challenges related to containers, distributed systems, large-scale web applications and AI systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to design and implement security solutions.
• Manage and analyze bug bounty findings and support teams in resolving identified risks.
• Train software engineers in vulnerability analysis, secure development practices and secure AI usage.
• Develop automated security testing procedures for code builds, deployments and delivery pipelines.
• Create and maintain guidelines for IT security, security testing and security tooling.
• Promote secure web application and cloud platform standards across products and teams.
