McKinsey & Company is seeking a senior ERP transformation expert to lead S/4HANA-based business transformations from Europe. You will work with McKinsey colleagues, functional experts, and clients to design and implement value-driven ERP programs across multiple industries.

You will mentor teams, shape business processes, and guide complex deliverables, with a focus on data, organizational design, and operating models while traveling up to 80% as required.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Work in small teams with McKinsey colleagues and clients to drive S/4HANA-based transformations.
• Lead the lifecycle stages of business transformation, identifying value areas.
• Provide guidance on business process design, fit-gap sessions, and complex deliverables for the system integrator.
• Coach testing strategies, documentation, quality assurance, and overall project delivery.
• Build migration playbooks and share knowledge within the McKinsey community.
• Base location in a European office (Germany or Austria) as part of McKinsey Digital.

Your Impact

You will work closely in small teams with McKinsey colleagues e.g. management consultants, functional experts, sector experts, agile coaches, business case experts, solution architects, as well as clients and system integrators to create value and accelerate delivery from S/4 HANA-based business transformations.

In this role, you will intervene at each step of the lifecycle of the business transformation. You will drive value identification at the sub-process level based on new functional capabilities of the S/4 HANA solution but also on best practices in operating model for the function in your scope of expertise.

During the implementation using our Agile ERP approach, you will be a leader and challenger in business process design or fit-gap sessions as well as advisor for complex functional deliverables of the system integrator such as organization structure, master data, configuration and customization choices. You will coach and challenge the testing strategy and execution, documentation, quality assurance and more along the way.

You will have the platform to leverage your expertise on analytic projects or on technology enabled business transformation where S/4 HANA or ECC is a key element.

You’ll have the opportunity to manage project stream and progress autonomously including tracking metrics, handling complex analyses and preparing communications to report back to client and internal leadership.

You will have the opportunity to build best practice S/4HANA migration playbooks and create visible impact to share knowledge and capabilities within the McKinsey community.

You will be based in one of our European offices (Germany and Austria) as part of McKinsey Digital. This group brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.

As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm.

You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in ERP transformation programs and at least one full lifecycle of S/4HANA implementation with mastership in initial process design
• Sound experience in designing and configuring a specific module within SAP; experience as (work) stream leader/functional lead would be a plus
• Ability to establish yourself as a trusted and indispensable advisor
• Strong multi-tasking, detail-oriented project management abilities and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work well in ambiguity and a highly entrepreneurial environment, consistently delivering exceptional results
