Job summary

SIXT is seeking a Senior SAP FI Consultant to join a global finance team spanning Pullach and Lisbon. You will own design, configuration, testing, and go-live of SAP FI solutions, ensuring seamless GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank processes across ECC and S/4HANA.

You’ll collaborate with Accounting, Tax and Controlling and drive integration with CO and upstream systems. You will help evolve the landscape from ECC to S/4HANA, support migrations, and work with SAP developers, Basis and cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience.
• Experience with SAP FI in ECC and ideally S/4HANA.
• Migration or full-cycle implementation experience is a plus.
• FI integration with CO, SD and MM is important.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies (CPI, APIs), ABAP enhancements or Fiori apps is a plus.
• English communication in a professional setting; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into SAP FI solutions across design, config, testing and go-live.
• Configure and test SAP Finance modules (GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting) across ECC and S/4HANA.
• Integrate FI with Controlling and upstream systems (billing platforms, P2P, SD, MM).
• Ensure smooth period-end and year-end closings across entities; support audits with clear docs (GoBD, GDPR).
• Support migration from ECC to S/4HANA and collaborate with developers, Basis, cloud teams and external partners.
• Bring AI/automation ideas to finance processes and participate in governance of SAP projects.

As a Senior SAP FI Consultant (m/f/d), you help keep our finance a step ahead of the business, across ECC, S/4HANA and a steady stream of ambitious new projects. You work closely with Accounting, Tax and Controlling, and every project bridges our SAP systems and the self-built platforms that power our business.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You get finance ready when the business moves: you work with Accounting, Tax and Controlling to rethink processes together and turn requirements from new programs (such as loyalty), products and regulation into working SAP solutions, from design and configuration through testing to go-live
• You configure, test and continuously improve SAP Finance solutions, especially General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting, across ECC and S/4HANA for our global, high-volume mobility business, with responsible use of AI as a daily teammate for analysis, documentation and testing
• You integrate FI seamlessly with Controlling (CO) and our upstream systems, from self-built billing platforms and third-party procure-to-pay software to SD and MM processes such as intercompany and commissioning
• You keep the engine running: you make sure period-end and year-end closing runs smoothly across our international legal entities, resolve complex incidents at the root cause, and support internal and external audits with clean documentation (e.g. GoBD, GDPR)
• You help our landscape evolve as we move from ECC to S/4HANA, keeping processes stable on both sides and helping prepare the next migration waves
• You partner with SAP developers, Basis and cloud teams, other functional consultants and external implementation partners, and you bring your experience to the team so that everyone benefits

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You have 5+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience and enjoy taking a complex finance topic from first idea to stable operation
• Systems You have deep hands-on knowledge of SAP FI in ECC and ideally S/4HANA, with expertise in General Ledger, AP/AR and Asset Accounting. Experience with a migration or full-cycle implementation is a plus
• Integration You understand how FI interacts with CO, SD and MM, and you can trace a business transaction from our self-built upstream systems through to the ledger
• AI & Technologies You already use AI successfully in your own work and bring ideas for where it can take our finance processes further. Experience with SAP integration technologies (CPI, APIs), ABAP enhancements or Fiori apps is a plus
• Communication You are a clear and confident communicator in English (German is a plus) who can turn complex finance and system topics into actionable insights for stakeholders from accounting to management
