Responsibilities
- Lead SHE discipline in electrolysis plant projects (green hydrogen, Chlor‑Alkali, HCl‑Electrolysis) during Basic and Detail Engineering.
- Contact person for SHE‑related engineering documents (hazardous area classification, fire protection philosophy, electrolyzer cell house ventilation concepts, etc.) with customers, engineering partners and suppliers.
- Conduct and moderate risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) to identify potential safety and environmental risks.
- Coordinate interfaces with high focus on communication and collaboration across disciplines and global subsidiaries (India, USA, Italy).
- Independently manage, supervise and review services provided by subcontracted engineering offices or institutes domestically and abroad.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and code & standard changes.
Qualifications
- University degree in chemical engineering, safety engineering or related field.
- Several years of professional experience in occupational safety, health and environment (SHE), ideally in chemical plant engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant European and international laws, regulations and standards.
- Structured working style, hands‑on mentality, team orientation, ownership mindset.
- Proficiency in SHE engineering software (e.g., PHA‑Pro).
- Intercultural skills, proficiency in English; additional language an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally to construction sites or customer offices regularly.
