Zusammenfassung

Emerson is seeking a Senior RF Engineering Technician to join our Product R&D team in Dresden, Germany. You will participate in prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production for RF products, including the market-leading USRP, contributing to design verification and lab activities.

You will set up RF test equipment, troubleshoot circuits to the component level, and support continuous improvement across the R&D site. Strong English and German communication is essential.

Qualifikationen

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience building, troubleshooting, or validating electronic or electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics circuits to the component level using schematics and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Experience with RF test equipment and RF circuit characterization.

Aufgaben

  • Set up and operate RF and electronic test equipment, cabling, and fixtures to support measurements on mixed-signal, RF, and high-speed digital circuits.
  • Support and execute product verification and validation activities, including test station setup, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and rework prototype electronic assemblies.
  • Maintain the readiness of R&D laboratory environments, including test equipment, infrastructure, setup, teardown, organization, and preventive maintenance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional responsibilities to support business needs.

Jobbeschreibung

You will join our Product R&D team as a Senior RF Engineering Technician. In this role, you will enjoy the opportunity to participate in multiple aspects of the product development cycle, including prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production. Engineering Technicians within our organization play a critical role in bringing new RF products, like the market leading USRP, to life and are key contributors to the success of our development teams. Through your work, you will have opportunities to expand your technical expertise and contribute to initiatives that support your professional development.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Set up and operate RF and electronic test equipment, cabling, and fixtures to support measurements on mixed-signal, RF, and high-speed digital circuits.

Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Associate degree or a German "Staatlich geprüfter Techniker" qualification, or comparable expertise in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience building, troubleshooting, or validating electronic or electromechanical systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics circuits to the component level using schematics and laboratory instrumentation.

  • Experience with component rework and soldering techniques.

  • Ability to read basic analog & RF schematics, including understanding of analog circuit elements such as op amps, power supplies, and filters.

  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, test procedures, and engineering documentation in English.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.

  • Familiarity with schematic entry tools such as Mentor Graphics.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, with an interest in expanding these responsibilities.

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) for test automation and hardware validation.

  • Experience with RF test equipment and RF circuit characterization, including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and signal generators.

  • Experience collaborating with international engineering and manufacturing teams
