DongCheng Tools is seeking a highly experienced Senior R&D Expert to lead the Tightening Tools division. You will define the technical roadmap, oversee product innovation, and mentor engineers to deliver world-class torque control solutions.

In this leadership role, you will drive R&D strategy, manage cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, quality, and manufacturing teams, and ensure compliance with international standards while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in tightening strategy algorithm development with torque+angle and TrueAngle technologies.
• Experience developing automatic strategy algorithms for pulse tools.
• Experience with MicroTorque tightening systems.
• Familiarity with Smart AMS centralized tightening process control software.
• Experience with server-based controller software integration (e.g., ToolsControl).
• Track record of leading a team to build software systems from scratch.
• Ability to adapt to cross-cultural work environments.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior R&D Expert to lead the development of our Tightening Tools Division. In this strategic role, you will define the technical roadmap, oversee product innovation, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver world-class solutions. This is a leadership position that combines deep technical expertise with strong people management and cross-functional collaboration.

Technical Leadership:

• Define and drive the overall R&D strategy for Tightening Tools, aligning with business goals and market needs.
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical and electronic torque control systems.
• Ensure products meet performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, DIN, ASME).

Team Management & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and designers.
• Set clear technical direction, assign tasks, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Product Lifecycle Management:

• Oversee product development from concept through prototyping, testing, validation, and production launch.
• Drive cost optimization and manufacturability improvements.
• Monitor and incorporate emerging technologies and industry trends.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with product management, sales, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Support customer-facing teams with technical expertise and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 1. Experience in tightening strategy algorithm development, with deep understanding of the following tightening strategies and control technologies:
• - Torque + Angle Strategy
• - TrueAngle (gyroscope-based angle compensation technology)
• 2. Experience developing automatic strategy algorithms for pulse tools (e.g., Tensor TBP / ErgoPulse series)
• 3. Experience with MicroTorque tightening systems
• 4. Familiarity with Smart AMS (Smart Assembly Management System) centralized tightening process control software
• 5. Experience with server-based controller software integration (e.g., ToolsControl)
• 6. Track record of leading a team to build software systems from scratch
• 7. Ability to adapt to cross-cultural work environments
