Babcock is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities across infrastructure and engineering projects within a regulated environment. You will support contract administration, governance, and financial performance throughout the contract lifecycle.

You will administer NEC3/JCT contracts, manage change and compensation events, and collaborate with project teams and suppliers to control costs and drive successful delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Essential: Senior Quantity Surveyor experience in a regulated engineering/construction environment.
• Strong commercial management experience within engineering and/or construction.
• Detailed knowledge and practical application of NEC3 and/or JCT contracts.
• Experience supporting large, complex contracts, bids, and commercial strategies.
• Strong understanding of cost control, change management, compensation events, and commercial risk management.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and supply chain partners to achieve project milestones.

• Developing commercial strategies, monitoring costs, and contributing to successful project delivery outcomes.

Contract details

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Requirements

• Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong commercial management experience within engineering and/or construction environments.
• Detailed knowledge and practical application of NEC3 and/or JCT contracts.
• Experience supporting large, complex contracts, bids, and commercial strategies.
• Strong understanding of cost control, change management, compensation events, and commercial risk management.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and supply chain partners to achieve project milestones.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Quantity Surveying.
• Desirable: Professional membership or working towards chartered status with a relevant professional body.
• Additional commercial or contract management qualifications.
