Mechanical Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre

Dresden, Germany | Rotation Available

I'm working with a major international engineering and construction business that is looking for an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join a large-scale data centre project in Dresden, Germany.

The position can be based locally in Germany or worked on a rotation basis, so we're open to speaking with experienced QSs from across Europe.

The Role

You'll take commercial responsibility for key mechanical packages across the project, including:

• Commercial management of major mechanical packages
• Subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiation
• Managing valuations, variations and change orders
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
• Reviewing subcontractor applications and payments
• Managing commercial and contractual risk
• Working closely with the mechanical, construction and procurement teams throughout delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Mechanical QS, MEP QS or Quantity Surveyor
• Strong understanding of mechanical packages including HVAC, cooling, piping and associated services
• Ideally previous data centre or mission-critical project experience
• Strong subcontractor and package management experience
• Good commercial and contractual knowledge
• Comfortable working on large-scale, fast-paced construction projects
• Open to being based in Dresden or working on rotation
