Job summary

Isar Aerospace SE seeks an experienced quality professional to manage QC activities across the assembly, integration, and test cycle of launch vehicle components. You will plan inspections, evaluate nonconformities, and drive corrective actions to uphold high standards.

The role demands deep knowledge of aerospace quality systems, CFRP awareness, and strong problem-solving skills in a regulated environment. English and German language skills are beneficial for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years in highly regulated production environment (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive).
• Experience with CFRP manufacturing and testing advantageous.
• Experience with statistical quality control methods in manufacturing.
• Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods (5 Why, 8D, Ishikawa).
• Knowledge of APQP and ISO 9145 is advantageous.
• AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015; Internal Auditor certification advantageous.
• Fluent in English; German language advantageous.

Mission Brief

As part of the Quality team, the primary purpose of the role is to manage quality control activities and to work with production team to maintain product quality by enforcing quality management policies, procedures and instructions and implement new approaches.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Monitor the entire assembly, integration and testing cycle of launch vehicle (sub-) assemblies, plan and execute quality control activities, evaluate nonconformities, and specify corrective and preventive actions to solve the problems

• Conduct quality checks for ongoing works with site inspections on a regular basis and ensure that technical standards are always met

• Oversee the production and engineering processes by ensuring the proper use of tools, materials and procedures and determine quality metrics

• Understand test requirements and propose solutions to resolve issues

• Create quality and safety documentation

• Plan and organize regular product inspections as well as manage internal audits

• Prepare quality control plans in accordance with company plans and review the documentation

• Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products

Qualification Checklist

• University degree in engineering, management or related field

• At least 10 years in highly regulated production environment (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive), 3 years out of which in Quality or Testing

• Prior Knowledge in CFRP manufacturing and testing is advantageous

• Experience in statistical quality control methods in manufacturing environment

• Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods (5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, Fish bone/Ishikawa Diagrams)

• Very good knowledge of practice with APQP and ISO 9145 is advantageous

• Good knowledge of AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 and having Internal Auditor certification

• Fluent in English and German is advantageous
