Optimus Search is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a major project in Northern Germany. You will lead project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, ensuring schedule integrity and performance.

Key duties include developing and maintaining detailed Primavera P6 schedules, conducting critical path analysis, and delivering dashboards and forecasts for senior leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Senior Planner on EPC or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycles from engineering to commissioning.
• Experience with schedule risk and forecast measurements.

Aufgaben

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join a major project in Northern Germany. This is an urgent requirement, so candidates who are immediately available or able to start at very short notice will be prioritised.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and schedule risk, working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Establish and manage integrated master schedules across multiple project workstreams
• Coordinate schedules across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning
• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and key milestones
• Perform critical path, delay, variance and schedule performance analysis
• Produce regular progress reports, dashboards, KPIs and forecasts
• Facilitate planning and schedule review meetings with internal teams and contractors
• Identify potential schedule risks, delays and dependencies
• Integrate schedule-risk outputs into the overall project programme
• Support forecasting, progress measurement and Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Ensure schedule integrity and consistency across project disciplines
• Provide clear schedule information and recommendations to project leadership
• Challenge contractor schedules and validate reported progress
• Support project controls, governance and change-management processes

Required Experience

• Strong experience as a Senior Planner / Project Planner / Planning Engineer
• Background delivering complex EPC, industrial, construction or mission-critical projects
• Strong understanding of the complete project lifecycle from engineering and procurement through construction and commissioning
• Experience with critical path analysis, forecasting, progress measurement and schedule risk
• Knowledge of QSRA / Monte Carlo schedule analysis would be highly advantageous
• Strong stakeholder and contractor-management skills
• Ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary, high-value project environments
