My client is seeking two highly experienced Project Managers to join our German development team. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies in a long-term, strategic capacity.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the development of onshore wind projects with a strong regional focus on Lower Saxony. You will be responsible for steering projects through the full permitting lifecycle, with particular emphasis on securing BImSchG approvals.

This is not a role we are looking to fill quickly – we are only interested in exceptional candidates who bring 5+ years of hands-on wind development experience and a proven track record of at least three successful BImSchG permits.

Responsibilities

• Drive the full development cycle of onshore wind projects

• Lead permitting processes with local authorities and stakeholders

• Oversee land acquisition, environmental assessments, and technical planning

• Collaborate with internal teams including grid, finance, legal, and engineering

• Represent the company at fairs, team events, and internal workshops (occasional travel to locations such as Düsseldorf and other offices across Germany)

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of onshore wind development experience in Germany

• Track record of at least 3 successful BImSchG permits

• Strong regional understanding of Northern or Western Germany, especially Lower Saxony

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• German language proficiency required
