As a Senior Product Designer at RIB, you will shape the user experience of products that help the construction industry work smarter, more efficiently, and more digitally. You will lead the end‑to‑end design process for a product line, combining hands‑on user research, Lean UX, design systems, and mobile app design for iOS and Android.

With software innovation at the heart of RIB since 1961, you’ll join a team shaping the next generation of digital solutions for construction. Ready to make an impact? Your work can help shape the digital future of one of the world’s most important industries!

Division: Portfolio Management

You will report to: Director Product Management

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Design Process Spearhead the end-to-end design process for the assigned product line across web and mobile, from research and ideation to prototyping, user testing, and final implementation. Collaborate with the design system team to maintain and expand the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product line, our mobile apps, and the wider ecosystem of our SaaS platform.
  • Lean UX Expertise Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Lean UX principles to conduct workshops that ensure shared understanding for the team, ensure business problems get solved in a way that meets users' needs, and iterate and refine designs quickly, incorporating user feedback and data-driven insights into the product development lifecycle.
  • User Research Own the end-to-end user research practice for the product line: plan and conduct regular interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, and on‑site or remote observation directly with customers — including users of our mobile apps — to uncover their behaviours, pain points, and motivations. Proactively build and maintain relationships with key customers to enable continuous research access. Use these insights to inform design decisions and enhance the overall user experience, and collaborate with the product team to consolidate findings, identify patterns, and turn them into actionable recommendations for the design team.
  • Usability Testing Plan and conduct usability testing sessions — including for our mobile apps — to validate design decisions, using the results to make informed design improvements. Create interactive prototypes and set up usability tests to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback directly from customers, guiding iterative design improvements.
  • Event Tracking Data Analysis Work closely with the product team to interpret event tracking and product analytics data gathered from the product line using tools such as Fullstory and UserPilot. Use this data to identify user behaviour patterns, uncover pain points, and optimize user flows, contributing to data-driven design decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design strategies with business goals, ensuring a seamless integration of design with engineering and product development.
Your Profile
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product design projects across web and mobile, and user‑centric design solutions.
  • Proven experience working with Lean UX methodologies and Agile development processes.
  • Hands‑on experience planning and conducting user research directly with customers — including interviews, contextual inquiries, and observation — as a core, ongoing part of the design process, not a one‑off or delegated activity.
  • Strong expertise in managing and utilizing design systems to maintain consistency and efficiency in the design process.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Proven experience designing native or hybrid mobile apps (iOS and/or Android), with strong knowledge of platform‑specific UX guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design).
