SIXT is seeking a Senior Product Analyst Operations Research in Pullach near Munich to define success metrics for ML products before they are built. You will design evaluation strategies, collaborate with Product Owners and Data Science teams, and shorten time to market through evidence-based validation.

You will build self-service analytics tools and establish evaluation standards across product teams, ensuring decisions rest on solid foundations and scalable methods.

Formación

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field is required.

Responsabilidades

• Define success metrics for ML products before development, establishing metric trees and guardrails with stakeholders.
• Design evaluation strategies for problems where the target isn't directly observable, using testable components and benchmarks.
• Partner with the Product Owner to translate data science results into business implications and articulate analytical questions.
• Convert stakeholder feedback into structured evidence and track manual overrides with pre-defined review criteria.
• Shorten time to market by validating ideas early with baselines, rapid prototypes and offline evaluation.
• Build self-service analytics and AI-enabled tools to answer recurring business questions without ad hoc requests.

You build self-service analytics tools and establish evaluation standards across product teams, ensuring data-driven decisions rest on solid foundations.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You define success metrics for our ML products before they are developed, setting metric trees, evaluation criteria and guardrails together with Product Owners, Data Science teams and business stakeholders
• You design evaluation strategies for problems where the target cannot be observed directly, breaking models down into testable components and building simulation benchmarks as well as structural consistency checks
• You act as the Product Owner's partner in shaping product direction, translating Data Science results into business implications and business questions into well-posed analytical problems
• You turn stakeholder feedback into structured evidence through pre-agreed review criteria, comparisons and systematic tracking of manual overrides
• You shorten time to market by validating ideas early with baselines, rapid prototypes and offline evaluation, so launch decisions rest on available evidence
• You build self-service analytics and AI-assisted tools so that recurring business questions get answered without ad hoc requests, and help establish evaluation standards across product teams and share your methods with colleagues

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Education You hold a Master's degree or higher in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• Statistics & Metric Design You have a solid foundation in statistics and a strong analytical mindset, with good intuition for designing metrics that capture what really matters, especially when the ideal measurement is not available
• Product Thinking You frame business problems in terms of decisions and outcomes, prioritize by impact, and are comfortable challenging a request when the underlying question is different
• Communication You explain model behavior, uncertainty and trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences, and hold an evidence-based position when results are contested
• AI Proficiency You use AI tools to prototype quickly, automate analysis and build evaluation workflows, and actively drive their adoption across the team
• Nice to haves You ideally bring expertise in Python and SQL, including building simulations and reusable evaluation pipelines, and understand how optimization outputs such as shadow prices drive operational decisions, ideally from experience in revenue management or pricing
