Senior / Principal UIUX Designer – Intelligent Cockpit (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate in the UIUX Team for automotive intelligent cockpit domain, defining and advancing user experiences, HMI system design, enhancing product competitiveness.

The ideal candidate will lead a user-centered design process, to identify design opportunities via user insights, competitor and trend research, defining system interaction models, user task flows and propose creative design concepts and UI definitions.

As a senior role expert in our Munich team, you will also collaborate with designers, researchers, developers from headquarters to shape the next generation operating system of Automotive Intelligent Cockpit.

Your Mission (Responsibilities In English)

• Translate strategic requirements into UX innovation topics via close communication with HQ.
• Structure and drive research activities of the team around UX, tech and design, to synthesize and extract opportunities.
• Propose and lead on innovative concepts for HarmonySpace platform UX and generic intelligent cockpit user experience.
• Demonstrate concept intents with comprehensive and logical storytelling.
• Build UIUX design deliverables and demos individually or collaborate with the team, from low-fidelity to high-fidelity according to project stage requirements.

Your Areas Of Expertise/experience

• Master’s or higher degree in UX/UI design, HMI design, product design, industrial design, multimedia design or other equivalent design disciplines or experience.
• 8+ years system-level UIUX experience of automotive cockpit or other consumer-facing devices from definition to execution, ideally with working experience of white-label platform.
• A portfolio demonstrating proven UX and strong aesthetic competence of UI designs.
• Proficiency in UIUX design tools; experience of AI tools for design and front-end system development is preferred.
• Problem‑solving oriented and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent presentation and clear communications.
• Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English, Mandarin is an advantage.
• Experience in building interactive front‑end demo is preferred.
• Willing to travel for business trips.
