Huawei's Hilbert Research Center is a product-motivated R&D hub focused on industrial formal methods, weak memory models, concurrency, and full-stack systems engineering. We seek a Senior/Principal Software Developer in Web Technologies and Rendering to advance the next generation web engine for mobile and PC scenarios.

Ideal candidates have a PhD or master’s, expertise in Rust or C++, concurrency, and strong English communication.

Qualifikationen

• BSc/Master or PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++.
• Basic knowledge in concurrency and parallelism.
• Familiarity with web technologies (Servo, V8, etc.) or compiler tech is a plus.
• Familiarity with formal methods is a plus.
• Experience with systems-level programming is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Senior/Principal Software Developer - Web Technologies and Rendering (m/f/d)

Your mission

Help us design, develop, and productization the next generation web engine for mobile and PC scenarios by supporting us in one or more of the following areas:

• Architectural, algorithmic, and local optimizations of engine code, such as compiler, layout, or interpreter;
• Development and evaluation of high-quality prototypes for the next generation web engine;
• Development and application of tools based on formal methods to improve the stability and ensure the timely productization of innovative optimizations.

Your areas of expertise

• BSc/Master or PhD in Computer Science or other related disciplines;
• Profound knowledge of at least one of: Rust or C++;
• Basic knowledge in concurrency and parallelism;
• Familiarity with web technologies (implementations of Servo, v8, or related technologies, or web standards lawyering) or compiler technologies is a plus;
• Familiarity with formal methods is a plus;
• Experience with systems-level programming a plus;
• Passion for software quality and performance, and openness to learn from failure;
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
