HERE Technologies is seeking a Senior/Principal Architect for Automotive within the HERE Architecture team. You will craft robust architectures for strategic customer use cases, engaging stakeholders from engineering to sales and guiding teams to deliver aligned implementations.

You will drive performance, scalability, security, and fault tolerance while shaping process improvements to support HERE business and customer success.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of experience delivering software products or systems.
• Deep knowledge of ADAS, SDV systems and automotive software architectures.
• Experience with customer-centric solution delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with RFx procedures and engagement models with OEMs.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and data pipelines is advantageous.

What's the role?

HERE Architecture team is embedded inside a Platform and Technology organization. The architecture group has a deep visibility and influence over how various software products are designed, implemented and maintained at HERE. While individual architects have a deep understanding of specific products and domains, the real strength of architecture team comes from its culture of cross collaboration and knowledge sharing within the group. Solution architecture team has an additional function of bringing customer‑centricity to the group. The team works with strategic HERE customers spread across the world to build solutions for their use cases by leveraging HERE location platform. In addition to creating significant customer value, the team brings back rich insights and experience from the field which then helps further shaping of product architecture and portfolio. The results produced by this team have direct impact on customer success and hence also on HERE’s competitiveness and success. Given the criticality of work done in Solution Architecture group, it is quite common for the team to be in customer and management spotlight while at the same time engaging with engineers on finer technical details.

About The Role

As a Senior/ Principal Architect for Automotive in HERE Architecture team, you will be responsible for:

• Designing robust architectures that realize strategic customer use cases. These architecture deliveries have a material impact on customer success and HERE's business.
• You will be required to engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to build a detailed understanding of the problem, derive meaningful insights out of it, design architecture to solve the problem and articulate the solution to variety of stakeholders ranging from engineering to product to sales to customers.
• You will also be required to demonstrate leadership skills in guiding/mentoring engineering teams to build implementations that are accurately aligned with the architecture. The architecture would need to address aspects like performance, scalability, security/privacy and foul tolerance in the design.
• You will have the freedom to define the process around how the architecture would involve to support HERE business.
• A key aspect of this role will be analyzing customer requirements coming through various channels like RfQ, building an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, engaging with different technical and non‑technical stakeholders to build a comprehensive solution architecture and actively supporting the project lifecycle from winning the project nomination to a closure through solution delivery.

Who are you?

• 12+ years of experience in delivering software products or systems in various roles
• You are passionate about helping your customers succeed by enabling them to build a solution that creates maximum value.
• You are a Subject Matter Expert in building SDV solutions for navigation and/or automated driving systems.
• You have a deep domain knowledge of AD systems, ADAS, and connected cars: in (automotive) positioning, vehicle sensor data, environmental model building, or Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms for autonomous driving applications.
• Experience with digital map products, crowed source data products, or big data analysis is an advantage.
• Experience in areas of our field of work, i.e., automotive, ADAS, automated driving, cloud services, automotive software, map data, Navigation Data Standard (NDS)
• Establish identification of key landmarks and triggers to be implemented in vision perception, to create and update HD Maps.
• Drive key performance indices for real‑time map updates, critical data pipeline inputs, latency requirements, and scalability.
• Experience with vehicle E/E architectures, technical implications of connected vehicles and map delivery ecosystems.
• You are familiar with industry standards and related regulations.
• You have a deep prior experience in software engineering, building customer‑facing products/systems and stakeholder management.
• Experience in the automotive industry with respect to engagement models, and RFx procedures with OEMs
• You have a customer‑centric, solution‑oriented and actionable approach to solving business problems.
• A natural approach to build a robust software architecture while taking feedback from customers, PoCs, market and peer groups is vital to execute on responsibilities in this role.
• Detailed knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP is an advantage.
