Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking a Senior Presales Consultant Datacenter (f/m/d) to design and advise on modern storage architectures across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments. You will analyze customer requirements and deliver tailored storage and data management solutions, acting as a trusted advisor.

With 5+ years in IT architecture consulting for storage, data center and hybrid cloud, you will lead workshops, deliver customer presentations, and support delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable qualification.
• At least 5 years of IT architecture consulting experience focusing on storage, data center and hybrid cloud.
• Strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructures, cloud computing and data management solutions.
• Experience with virtualization, storage tech (Microsoft, VMware) and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and consult on modern storage architectures across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Analyze customer requirements and tailor storage and data management solutions.
• Act as a Trusted Advisor for optimizing IT and storage architectures.
• Evaluate concepts for feasibility, standards, cost efficiency and sustainability.
• Independently configure hardware and software using relevant tools and document solutions.
• Derive required services from customer requirements and coordinate with delivery teams.
• Generate leads with Account Managers and Sales Specialists.
• Conduct workshops, customer presentations and technical sessions for customers and partners.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing, consulting on, and continuously improving modern storage architectures for block, file, and object storage solutions across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
• Analyzing customer requirements and developing tailored storage and data management solutions based on business and technical needs
• Acting as a Trusted Advisor, supporting customers in optimizing and modernizing their IT and storage architectures
• Evaluating storage and IT concepts regarding technical feasibility, compliance with standards, cost efficiency, and long-term sustainability
• Independently creating hardware and software configurations using relevant tools and documenting proposed solutions
• Deriving required services from customer requirements and coordinating with delivery and implementation teams
• Actively generating leads in collaboration with Account Managers and Sales Specialists
• Conducting workshops, customer presentations, and technical sessions for customers, partners, and industry events

Your Profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT architecture consulting with a focus on storage, data center, and hybrid cloud architectures
• Strong understanding of modern IT infrastructures, IT platforms, cloud computing, and data management solutions
• Solid knowledge of hybrid IT and storage architectures as well as public, private, and community cloud strategies
• Deep understanding of modern architecture concepts such as Software Defined Data Centers (SDDC), container technologies, and open-source strategies
• Experience with common operating systems as well as virtualization, high availability, storage technologies (e.g., Microsoft, VMware), and networking technologies
• Strong customer focus, excellent presentation skills, and a high degree of initiative and reliability
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
