Qualifikationen

• Develop clean, readable, and well-structured PLC software in B&R Automation Studio (exclusively)
• Analyze requirements and propose sound technical solutions

• Guide and mentor junior PLC programmers, helping them grow technically
• Step into the role of Scrum Master when needed to keep the team aligned and unblocked
• Follow, and guide other PLC developers to follow, the IEC 62304 development process (requirements, specification, implementation, verification)
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams
• IEC 62304 process: Apply the lifecycle process yourself and coach the team to work consistently within it
• codeBeamer: Safe and correct handling of requirements, unit specifications, and test management in codeBeamer, ensuring full traceability
• Git: Safe handling of Git for PLC projects (branching, reviews, versioning, clean history)
• CI/CD: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for B&R PLC projects
• Automated testing: Design and maintain automated tests of PLC code using Python and C#, and integrate these tests into the CI/CD pipeline
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred)
• At least 5 years of hands-on industrial controls and PLC programming experience
• Proven experience in B&R Automation Studio programming and deployment
• Proficiency in Structured Text (ST) and object-oriented programming concepts
• Experience with real-time PLC applications and fieldbus systems
• Solid scripting/programming skills in Python and C#
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Able to act as a subject-matter expert (SME) in an Agile team with little guidance
• Interested in programming and development work in the highly regulated medical device industry
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with codeBeamer for requirements and test management; Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics; Familiarity with industrial automation safety standards and debugging tools; Communication skills in German are a huge plus
