Job summary

SCAYLE, a fast-growing enterprise commerce platform, is seeking an experienced SRE/Platform Engineer to join our high-availability B2B SaaS team in Hamburg. You will own and optimize Kubernetes-driven infrastructure and mentor developers on platform best practices.

You will drive proactive observability using Datadog, OpenSearch, and Fluentd, shape technical direction, and collaborate across squads to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• An experienced SRE or Platform Engineer (5+ years) who thrives in high-availability B2B SaaS environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Terraform/Terragrunt, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab CI
• Comfortable reading and writing Go for automation and operator tooling
• Strong ownership mindset, clear communication skills, and a collaborative approach to internal developer enablement

Responsibilities

• High-Throughput Kubernetes: Optimize cluster scaling policies, ingress controllers, VPC networking, and secret handling under heavy load
• Proactive Observability: Leverage Datadog, OpenSearch, and Fluentd to detect and resolve platform issues before they impact customers
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide development teams on platform best practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical direction
