Wintermeyer Ventures in Berlin is seeking a founding senior attorney to join our AI-native platform and bring your portable book of business onto the firm’s growth engine. You will serve as a market-facing leader, leveraging your PE/VC connections to open top-of-funnel opportunities and cross-sell services across commercial, IT and regulatory matters.

The role combines senior legal leadership with commercial strategy, offering meaningful equity and a clear path to scale as the firm matures.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years as partner-level attorney in a German law firm
• German-qualified Volljurist with active Rechtsanwalt admission
• Portable book of business of at least €1M with clients who follow you
• Strong PE/VC and mid-market network with cross-sell potential
• Book diversified across multiple clients with recurring automate-able matters
• Native-level German for client work; professional English proficiency

About the Role

This is a founding senior attorney opportunity at an AI-native law firm in Germany, built around a proprietary agentic platform that automates recurring legal work. You will serve as a market-facing rainmaker, bringing your established book of business onto the platform and helping shape the firm's early growth trajectory. The role carries meaningful equity in a technology-driven legal business, making it as much a commercial leadership position as a legal one.

What You'll Do

• Bring your portable book of business onto the firm's AI agent platform and continue serving your existing client relationships.
• Act as the firm's market-facing credibility engine, opening top-of-funnel opportunities through your PE/VC and mid-market network.
• Cross-sell commercial and compliance services into your existing client base.
• Collaborate with the founding team to migrate recurring matters onto the AI platform for automation.
• Help guide the firm's growth strategy as it scales its client base.

What We're Looking For

• 12 or more years of experience as a partner-level attorney at a recognized German law firm.
• German-qualified Volljurist with an active Rechtsanwalt admission.
• A portable book of business of at least €1M, with clients who follow you personally and are not institution-bound to your current firm.
• Strong network into private equity, venture capital, or mid-market companies with cross-sell potential into commercial and compliance work.
• Book diversified across multiple clients and weighted toward recurring, automatable matters such as commercial contracts, IT and data, corporate/VC, or regulatory work rather than litigation-only.
• Native-level German for client work; professional English proficiency.
• Germany-based and work-authorized, with a realistic transition path and no restrictive non-competes that would prevent client migration.
• Genuine conviction in the AI-native law firm model and the equity story.
• Dr. iur. or LL.M. qualification is a plus.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as large language models or legal AI platforms in daily practice is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is €200,000 to €300,000 annually, alongside meaningful equity in the firm. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid, based in Berlin, Germany. In-person presence in Berlin is preferred.
