parabilismed is seeking a senior cross-functional architect to replace a patchwork of systems with coherent enterprise platforms. The role blends design authority with project leadership to deliver production-ready solutions.

You will own end-to-end architecture across workflows, data management, and integrations, coordinating internal tech teams and external vendors while aligning to regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

Role overview

A senior, cross-functional architect role inside a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical organization scaling toward commercial operations. The position exists to replace an organically grown patchwork of systems with coherent enterprise platforms, owning architecture and the workflows those systems support. The role combines hands-on technical design authority with the project and stakeholder leadership required to deliver working solutions into production.

Responsibilities

• Map current-state operations with business teams, surface root causes of friction, and translate findings into cohesive future-state designs rather than incremental patches
• Own end-to-end architecture, workflow design, and data management for systems in scope, ensuring clean interoperability with the broader technology estate
• Translate operational needs into system and data requirements, and reframe technical constraints into language stakeholders can act on
• Coordinate internal technology functions and external vendors, holding all parties to scope and schedule without direct people management
• Lead project delivery: define scope and success criteria, sequence dependencies, manage risks and issues to closure, and drive go-live enablement
• Run operating cadence including status reporting, steering updates, decision logs, and escalation to senior IT leadership when blocked
• Own vendor relationships for systems in scope, including RFP definition, selection participation, and contract shaping

Requirements

• 7+ years building enterprise systems across functions, with delivery experience in a regulated industry and exposure to clinical development workflows and clinical data
• Strong architecture depth across workflow design, data models, and integrations, with the judgment to make design calls independently
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, aligning internal teams and external partners around shared outcomes
• Familiarity with GxP, data integrity (ALCOA+), HIPAA, SOX, or SOC2 expectations as they shape system and data design
• Experience with validated system implementations in regulated environments using Agile, hybrid, or stage-gate methodologies
• Background working within established functional standards for cloud, security, and engineering while preserving overall architectural coherence

Nice to have

• Prior experience as an internal architect or external consultant brought in to untangle organically grown systems
• Familiarity with platforms common in clinical and enterprise environments such as eTMF or EDC systems, integration and data platforms, and workflow or document management tooling

Benefits and work setup

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week on-site in Cambridge, MA and 2 days remote
• Base salary range of $165,000 to $195,000 depending on experience and qualifications
• Annual target bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package
