Job Description
This role will lead a team managing >20M parcels and drive financial success through advanced cost‑management and shipment efficiency. The incumbent will direct a high‑level team, build a leadership pipeline, and own the strategic carrier roadmap.
Responsibilities
- P&L Management: Accountable for the OB Transportation budget and for hitting financial targets through advanced cost‑management and shipment efficiency.
- Organizational Leadership: Direct management and development of the carrier management team, focusing on building high‑level functional expertise and a leadership pipeline.
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead high‑level carrier negotiations and contract management to secure optimal service, capacity, and commercial terms.
- Operational Excellence: Guarantee seamless end‑to‑end operations by rigorously monitoring performance metrics and consistently overperforming against lead‑time and delivery‑promise benchmarks.
- Executive Vendor Relations: Oversee the QBR framework for primary carriers to drive continuous service improvement and long‑term strategic alignment.
- Continuous Improvement: Architect and implement automation initiatives to simplify complex logistics processes and enhance departmental scalability.
- Roadmap Governance: Serve as the final escalation point for the carrier management team and the primary owner of the strategic carrier roadmap.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of proven experience in Transportation, at least 10 years in Supply Chain focused on process optimization or operations management within a logistics setting, and at least 2 years of people management experience.
- Proven cross‑functional collaboration with data science, operations, IT and customer service teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Strong data‑driven mindset with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets and create actionable reports.
- Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, capable of leading projects and resolving challenges across multiple teams.
- Proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of delivery logistics, including warehouse processes and customer delivery workflows.
- Business‑level fluency in English and at least one EU language (additional languages are an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, particularly in order fulfillment and delivery processes.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity.
