Heraeus, a global technology group, seeks a highly motivated M&A professional with 5–7 years of experience to drive inorganic growth across operating companies and business areas. You will advise senior leaders, lead cross-border transactions, and perform rigorous financial analyses in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.

The role involves origination to integration, collaboration with diverse teams, and presentations to executives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or natural sciences/engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of relevant full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A or strategy consulting.
• Strong analytical skills with enthusiasm for financial modelling and analyses.
• Passion for dealmaking with a hands-on entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to present and communicate complex analyses to Senior Executives.

Aufgaben

• Advise Heraeus’ Senior Executives on inorganic growth opportunities for Operating Companies and Business Areas.
• Lead and support M&A transactions across all phases from origination to integration.
• Perform financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence assessments; participate in negotiations and structuring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to assess strategic fit and deal rationale.
• Identify and analyse new investment opportunities of interest to Heraeus and its group companies.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on opportunities and transaction progress to Senior Executives.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven M&A professional with 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in corporate finance advisory, strategy consulting or corporate M&A. The following challenges await you:

• You advise Heraeus’ Senior Executives on inorganic growth opportunities for its Operating Companies and Business Areas, thereby making you an essential part of Group strategy.
• You lead and support M&A transactions (e.g. buy/sell-sides, investments, partnerships) across all phases – from origination to integration.
• You perform in-depth financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence assessments and are involved in the subsequent negotiation and structuring of these transactions.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to assess strategic fit and deal rationale.
• You identify and analyse new areas and investment opportunities that are of interest to Heraeus or its group companies.
• You prepare and deliver presentations on opportunities, transaction progress, and strategic recommendations to Senior Executives, and serve as subject matter expert on M&A topics.
  

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or natural sciences/engineering; MBA or graduate degree is a plus
• At least 5-7 years of relevant full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A or strategy consulting
• You have strong analytical skills and show enthusiasm for financial modelling / analyses
• You bring a passion for dealmaking and the ambition to drive growth with a hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset
• You have a proven track record of high performance in dynamic environments, and excel at presenting, and communicating complex analyses to Senior Executives
• You thrive working with global cross-functional teams and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Very good English & German skills both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel (usually 10-20%)
