SystemsAccountants is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the Accounting, Group Accounting and Consolidation functions. Berlin-based, you’ll manage the Accounting team, oversee monthly and year-end close, and ensure compliance with German GAAP and IFRS while coordinating with local entities.

You will drive R2R improvements, partner with Tax and Audit teams, and mentor staff. Fluent German and English are essential as you interact with auditors and Steuerberater in Germany.

Qualifikationen

• Senior Accounting Manager with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong German GAAP/HGB and IFRS knowledge.
• Fluent German and English required.

Aufgaben

• Lead the company Accounting according to HGB / German Gaap and Group Accounting according to IFRS.
• Team Management for the Accounting Team.
• General Ledger Accounting, Record-to-Report working closely with other Finance Operations areas e.g. Treasury, Controlling, AP, AR areas.
• Managing daily accounting as well as month end / Year end close activities.
• Leading financial audit and working with external Auditors in German.
• Liaising with German Steuerberater (Tax Accountants) and Audit teams in local language.
• Identify and manage a roadmap of project improvements e.g. R2R process improvement and automations.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Finance Controlling and Reporting to identify and deliver accounting requirements.

A dynamic international company is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead and manage the Accounting, Group Accounting and Consolidation functions.

Sitting as part of the Finance Department and managing the Accounting team, the Group Accounting Lead will own the Accounting, Group Accounting and Consolidation at Group level. Working closely with accounting teams in local entities, this role will deliver Group Accounting and Consolidation, will be responsible for monthly / annual accounting and consolidation routines, as well as improving processes for R2R areas.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chief Accountant or Group Accounting Manager with strong German GAAP knowledge and ideally IFRS to take on the next challenge in a dynamic international company.

Your role:

• Prior Management experience for Accounting teams
• Excellent knowledge of German GAAP / HGB and International Accounting standards IFRS
• Fluent German and English essential
