Job summary

We Are Era seeks a senior Finance leader to own and continuously improve end-to-end financial processes. You will coordinate accounting and reporting with the Shared Service Center and RTL Group finance functions, while driving automation and controls.

A leadership role with SAP S/4HANA focus and close collaboration with auditors and tax advisors. You bring 5–8 years in Finance/Accounting, strong stakeholder management and fluent German and English, plus a hands-on, process-oriented mindset for

Qualifications

• Finance/Accounting degree or comparable qualification.
• 5–8 years in Accounting, Audit, Finance Ops or Financial Process Mgmt.
• Strong end-to-end finance process understanding with stakeholder mgmt.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience with monthly/annual closings and Shared Service Center.
• Experience with auditors and tax advisors.
• Leadership experience and stakeholder-management skills.
• Structured, hands-on and process-oriented mindset; interest in automation and AI in Finance.
• Fluent German and English.

Job Description

• Own and continuously improve end-to-end financial processes and coordinate accounting and reporting topics with the Shared Service Center and relevant RTL Group finance functions.
• Ensure effective use and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA across Finance processes.
• Lead and develop the local Accounting team.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes in close collaboration with the RTL Shared Service Center.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements and the annual audit (JAP) with KPMG.
• Act as key interface between the business, Shared Service Center, RTL Group finance functions, auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive process improvements, internal controls, automation and Finance transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or comparable qualification.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Audit, Finance Operations or Financial Process Management.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, with experience in process design, optimization and stakeholder management across Finance and the wider organization.
• Hands‑on SAP S/4HANA knowledge beneficial.
• Experience with monthly and annual closing processes and ideally working with a Shared Service Center.
• Experience working with auditors and tax advisors.
• First leadership experience and strong stakeholder‑management skills.
• Structured, hands‑on and process‑oriented mindset with an interest in automation and AI in Finance.
• Fluent German and English.
