A leading private equity firm is seeking an experienced finance transformation leader to drive restructuring, turnaround, and process improvement initiatives across portfolio companies in the DACH region. The position will be highly operational, requiring direct on-site engagement at portfolio companies to implement robust finance processes, optimize cash management, and support strategic business transformations.

Please be aware that this role includes Travel across Europe – 4 days/week on-site at portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead restructuring and improvement initiatives for portfolio companies to implement sound cash management processes.
• Collaborate with local CFO/CRO and transformation leads to develop turnaround concepts, conduct in-depth financial analysis, and prepare integrated financial models.
• Challenge and evaluate business cases to ensure sustainable outcomes.
• Design and execute financing solutions, including factoring, asset-based funding, and credit lines.
• Improve financial close processes and finance/controlling workflows; support financial statement preparation and audits.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, financial advisers, banks, and credit insurers.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance from a recognized university or business school.
• Experience in Big 4/management consulting (restructuring focus preferred) or in the finance/controlling function of an industrial company with restructuring exposure.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills, resilience in distressed situations, and a hands-on approach.
• Business fluency in German and English.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills (integrated financial modelling, cash forecasting).
• Willingness to travel extensively (typically Monday–Thursday) across Europe.
