Job description

Turn live experiences into measurable business impact.

Are you an experienced events professional who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach? Do you enjoy creating engaging experiences that bring innovative technologies to life while delivering measurable business results?

At Hexagon, we're looking for a Senior Manager, EMEA Events & Live Experiences to shape and execute our regional events strategy within our Stationary Metrology division.

This is not a traditional event coordination role. We're looking for someone who can see the bigger picture, challenge existing approaches, make data-driven decisions and still roll up their sleeves to bring complex exhibitions to life.

You'll take ownership of our EMEA events portfolio, working across multiple markets and collaborating with regional sales, marketing and global events teams to create experiences that inspire customers and contribute directly to business growth.

Job Responsibilities
Shape the strategy and drive business impact
  • Develop and own a 12-24 month EMEA events roadmap aligned with regional business priorities and sales objectives.
  • Evaluate and prioritize events based on their strategic relevance, pipeline contribution and return on investment (ROI).
  • Define meaningful KPIs, analyze event performance and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with regional Sales and Marketing teams to ensure events support demand generation and customer engagement.
  • Contribute to global events strategies while adapting experiences to different EMEA markets.
Bring exceptional events to life
  • Take ownership of the planning and execution of medium- to large-scale trade shows, exhibitions and live experiences across EMEA.
  • Manage the entire event lifecycle, from initial concept and planning to logistics, booth construction, on-site execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Coordinate external exhibition builders, agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee technical demonstrations, product displays and interactive experiences that make complex technologies engaging and accessible to customers.
  • Ensure smooth on-site operations, including booth setup, equipment logistics and dismantling.
  • Continuously explore creative ways to improve the visitor experience and differentiate Hexagon at industry events.
Own budgets and influence decisions
  • Manage regional event budgets with a strong focus on cost efficiency, financial discipline and measurable outcomes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and identify opportunities to optimize event investments.
  • Use performance data and business insights to influence event portfolio decisions.
  • Collaborate confidently with senior leadership, regional stakeholders and global teams in a complex international matrix organization.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate brand, safety and governance standards.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional experience in event management, with a proven track record of delivering major trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex events across multiple EMEA countries, with an understanding of different markets and business cultures.
  • Ideally, a background in B2B industrial technology, manufacturing, engineering, automation or a similar technical environment.
  • A strong combination of strategic planning capabilities and practical, hands‑on event execution experience.
  • Proven ability to manage significant budgets, evaluate ROI and connect event activities to business outcomes.
  • Strong project management, organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • A good technical understanding and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex products and technologies.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders, commercial teams, external partners and suppliers.
  • A creative mindset, a proactive attitude and the confidence to challenge established ways of working.
  • Familiarity with event technologies, digital engagement tools and lead capture processes. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is an advantage.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management or a related field.
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel approximately 20-40% across EMEA, including occasional extended stays during peak exhibition seasons.
We Offer

The best of both worlds. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic ownership with hands‑on execution. You'll not only develop the vision but also see your ideas come to life.

Real ownership and influence. You'll play a key role in shaping how Hexagon presents its technologies across EMEA, with the opportunity to influence decisions, introduce new ideas and drive meaningful improvements.

High visibility and international exposure. Work closely with regional and global stakeholders, including senior leadership, and build relationships across Europe and beyond.

Freedom to innovate. We don't believe in repeating the same event experience year after year. Your creativity, fresh perspectives and ideas will help us continuously evolve how we engage our customers.

Technology that inspires. Help bring innovative industrial metrology solutions to life through memorable, interactive customer experiences.

Flexibility with variety. Enjoy a remote‑based role combined with opportunities to travel, collaborate internationally and experience the results of your work firsthand.
