Jobtailor seeks an experienced Data Platform Lead to own the Power BI monitoring and reporting platform end to end for governance, informatics, and analytics teams.

You will define data architectures, build pipelines, and mentor a data operations engineering team while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalable infrastructure.

Aufgaben

• Own the centralized Power BI monitoring and reporting platform end to end for Data Governance, Informatics, and Analytics teams.
• Define data architecture and schemas supporting governance, analytics, and informatics reporting.
• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines and integrations with source systems.
• Develop or troubleshoot Power BI reports and data models as needed.
• Hire, manage, and mentor a data operations engineering team.
• Own platform success from data architecture through final reports.
• Ensure sensitive data is handled per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Own platform infrastructure, performance, capacity, environment security, and scalability.
• Partner with business leads to translate needs into data models and pipeline designs.
• Establish engineering standards, test-first development, DoD, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Oversee automated testing, integration, deployment, and defect resolution.
• Drive Agile demos, retrospectives, continuous improvement, and change management.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, pipelines, coding standards, testing, and changes.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and related regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data architecture and engineering experience
• 5+ years building, leading, and growing engineering teams in an Agile environment
• Ability to work as both a hands-on individual contributor and people manager
• Experience building and scaling large backend data platforms and pipelines supporting BI/reporting layers
• Healthcare data experience strongly preferred; regulated-industry experience considered
• Ability to define data architecture and schemas
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Java or Python and data pipeline/ETL tools
• Experience with AWS data services and cloud-based data storage
• Working proficiency in Power BI and DAX
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, JIRA or similar Agile/DevOps tools
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Required bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related Arts/Sciences field
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
