Senior Logistics Coordinator & Import/Export Analyst (m/f/d)
At Azenta Life Sciences, we support leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research organizations by managing samples and materials. Join our Griesheim Biobank team as EU Sample Management Coordinator.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate shipment of biological samples, laboratory materials, and related goods throughout Europe and internationally.
- Ensure compliance with customs, import/export, and trade regulations by preparing and reviewing shipment documentation.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, brokers, and service providers to facilitate smooth border crossings.
- Maintain records related to import/export activities and support internal compliance checks and audits.
- Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and service offerings.
- Process incoming goods, checking completeness and informing relevant departments.
- Manage inventory and order logistics‑related materials.
- Adhere to SOPs in English and maintain high ethical and quality standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in business administration, logistics, customs, or a similar qualification.
- Practical work experience in logistics, customs, import/export, or freight forwarding.
- Sound understanding of customs clearance processes, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements; experience with dangerous goods is a plus.
- Familiarity with trade compliance topics (tariff classification, country of origin, customs value, restricted‑party screening, license checks).
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliability clearance in accordance with Section7 of the German Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG).
- Team player; enthusiastic about international teamwork.
- Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems are an advantage.
- Forward‑thinking, solution‑oriented, with strong awareness of compliance and best practices.
- Attention to detail and excellent prioritization skills.
- Fluent in German and English (B2 level or higher).
