Centric Software, a global leader in AI-enabled product lifecycle solutions, seeks a German-qualified Senior Legal Counsel to own DACH matters. You will structure and negotiate complex technology transactions, advise executives, and collaborate with HR, Marketing, Finance, and R&D across regions.

Remote work is possible, with Germany office options, and you’ll influence global initiatives within a fast-growing legal team.

Qualifikationen

• German-qualified lawyer with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong substantive knowledge of IT/technology law and ability to draft/negotiate complex tech transactions.
• Extensive experience with multinational SaaS and cloud contracts in a fast-paced tech company.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with autonomy to close deals.
• Fluency in German and English; other European languages a plus.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership rather than waiting for direction, a with a technology transactional background. The role will report to the Legal Director, EMEA, (London-based) and sits within the EMEA legal team, with seamless collaboration within the EMEA legal team, but also with the global legal team. Candidates who demonstrate strong ownership and initiative over time will have the opportunity to have increased responsibilities across the global legal organisation.Your Day-to-DayIndependently own DACH region from a legal standpoint, while working closely as part of the wider EMEA legal team - supporting EMEA, and global colleagues as neededEMEA lead supporting the DACH sales teamStructure, draft, and negotiate master agreements for software, services, and cloud, statements of work, and other technology transactions affecting Centric Software's commercial business, managing a multi-million-euro transaction pipeline and negotiating directly with customer legal and procurement teamsAdvise regional management and executives on all aspects relating to commercial disputes and contribute to their resolutionCollaborate as a trusted legal advisor and provide leadership to cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Finance, R&D, etc.) on topics such as labour law, corporate governance, marketing activities and other topics arising in your regionLead or contribute to global initiatives, including presenting to Centric Software’s executivesYour Experience, Skills and QualificationsGerman-qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of relevant experience as a seasoned technology transactional lawyer, with strong substantive knowledge of IT/technology law needed to confidently draft and negotiate complex technology transactions, gained as in-house legal counsel and/or in private practiceExtensive experience with complex multinational SaaS and cloud contracts and transactions in a fast-paced, technology-driven company,Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, quarterly driven business environmentExcellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead deals to closure independently and negotiate confidently and directly with customer legal and procurement teamsAble to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines without sacrificing clarity, in a multicultural, diverse, and fast-paced environmentSolid understanding of data privacy in a B2B and B2B2C context (not limited to German privacy law); CIPP/E or CIPM certification is a plusStrong leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully with and provide leadership to cross-functional stakeholdersExperience managing outside counsel and/or legal budgets is a plusComfortable using AI tools and contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms to drive efficiency, and open to adopting new tools as our legal tech stack evolves (currently including Summize, Claude, and ChatGPT)Fluency in German and English is required; additional European languages are a plusWhat We OfferFlexibility to work remotely or from an office in GermanyGenuine growth opportunity within a fast-scaling, global legal teamInternational exposure across the DACH, EMEA as well as globallyCentric Software provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, color, age, religion, protected veteran or disability status or genetic information.
