About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to lead Dyson’s strategy and performance across major retail accounts—particularly MediaMarkt—for our full portfolio of technology. You’ll set the benchmark for account management, guide a growing team, and shape Dyson’s impact in the German market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and driving the MediaMarkt account, building senior‑level relationships, negotiating joint business plans, and delivering sustained growth for all Dyson categories.
  • Overseeing strategic annual plans for other major retail accounts, ensuring Dyson and partner priorities translate into market‑leading results.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing two direct reports, setting clear objectives and supporting their progression.
  • Achieving ambitious sales and margin targets—using expert forecasting, data‑driven promotional planning, and rigorous budget management.
  • Launching and executing high‑profile campaigns and new technologies, ensuring flawless experiences in‑store and online.
  • Upholding Dyson’s standards for premium brand execution and category leadership across all customer touchpoints.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams—media, retail activation, category management—to optimise ROI and drive shopper engagement.
  • Presenting compelling business reviews, proposals, and growth plans to senior retail stakeholders.
  • Expanding existing partnerships and uncovering new, strategic business opportunities.
About you
  • At least 6 years’ experience in sales or key account management, with a record of success managing large retail accounts for technology or SDA products.
  • Deep understanding of MediaMarkt’s business and proven ability to deliver growth through this channel.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and skilled at building high‑trust partnerships.
  • Structured approach combined with creative problem‑solving and adaptability.
  • Excellent networking, influencing, and negotiation skills at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical acumen, decisive, and persuasive.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
