Job summary

voize is growing fast and seeks a Senior IT Operations Engineer to own end-to-end IT Operations across the company. You will lead multi-stakeholder projects, implement automation, and act as the escalation point for complex issues.

You will fix root causes, shape scalable processes, and ensure secure, reliable infrastructure as we expand in Germany. Join a team making frontline work more efficient.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT Operations experience in a fast-growing company.
• Hands-on with Jamf and Google Workspace; comfortable with a modern SaaS stack.
• Engineer at heart who bridges technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own IT Operations projects end to end with clear milestones and stakeholders.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues; diagnose root causes and implement long-term fixes.
• Design scalable processes: onboarding, offboarding, device management, patching and asset tracking.
• Turn tickets into prevention by using metrics to spot repeat failures and fix root causes.
• Maintain security posture across devices, access and tools; keep systems up-to-date.
• Automate repetitive manual work to free up time for critical tasks.
• Manage networks and infrastructure, balancing local hosting vs cloud when appropriate.
• Evaluate tools and vendors; scope requirements, run proofs of concept and conduct service reviews.

Your Mission: Build what this team runs on

Hi, I'm Alessio, I lead IT Operations at voize. We're growing fast, and I'm hiring someone who can turn that growth into structure.

As Senior IT Operations Engineer, you own complex IT Operations work end to end across the company, leading multi stakeholder projects and using automation to make sure the fixes actually hold. You'll be the person other teams come to when something needs to actually get built, not just patched, and you'll have real say in how we shape the function as we grow.

You’ll also be the escalation point when issues go beyond what normal support can handle. Instead of just closing the ticket, you fix why it happened, and you're already building solutions for problems before anyone’s even raised them. The work changes week to week, but the standard doesn't.

Your Daily Business - No two days are alike

• Own projects end to end. From scope through delivery, you drive company wide IT Operations projects, with clear milestones, risks and stakeholders behind them. You define success up front, and you deliver it.

• The escalation point. Endpoints, identity, SaaS, security, when something is too complex for first level support, it lands with you. You resolve the highest impact issues and document what you learned, so the same thing doesn't happen twice.

• Processes that scale. Onboarding, offboarding, device management, patching, asset tracking, you design how these work as the company keeps growing, not just how they work today.

• Turn tickets into prevention. You use service and project metrics to spot what's breaking repeatedly, and you fix the root cause instead of closing the same ticket over and over.

• Security as a mindset. Keeping devices, access and tools secure and up to date isn't a task you do once, it's how you approach everything, so nobody else has to think about it.

• Automate the manual layer. Wherever a process depends on someone doing the same thing by hand, you find a way to automate it, so the team's time goes to the work that actually needs a person.

• Networks and infrastructure that hold up. Office networks, Wi-Fi, VPN and internal infrastructure aren’t a side topic for you. You keep them reliable and secure as we grow, and you weigh up where local hosting makes sense and where the cloud does.

• Choosing the right tools, and proving it first. When we need a new tool or a better vendor, you run the evaluation: you scope the requirements, run proofs of concept, and negotiate. You also run the service reviews afterwards, so what we buy keeps delivering.

Your Skillset - What you bring to the table

• 5+ years of hands on experience owning IT Operations projects end to end in a fast growing, cross functional company. You've seen what breaks when a company scales fast, because you were the one who fixed it.

• Hands on with Jamf and Google Workspace especially, and comfortable across a modern SaaS stack. You've owned an MDM instance, not just used one.

• An engineer at heart, you're just as comfortable debugging something yourself as you are planning it, and you move easily between technical and non technical teams to get it done.

• Strong stakeholder skills. You work with people across the company as an equal, and you get change adopted by people who don't report to you.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and no fixed playbook, and no task is beneath you either, years of experience included, if something simple needs fixing, you fix it.

• Genuine initiative and a positive, sharp customer obsession. You want real impact on what we do every day, and you can be a role model for whoever joins this team next.
