The Green Recruitment Company in Hamburg is seeking a Senior Investment Manager (m/f/d) to originate, evaluate and execute investments in the renewable energy sector. You will manage the full transaction lifecycle from identifying opportunities through due diligence and closing.

The ideal candidate has a university degree and 5-7+ years of experience, strong negotiation, financial modelling, and fluency in German and English.

Aufgaben

• Independently lead and manage investment and M&A transactions from origination through to closing
• Lead negotiations of transaction documentation and coordinate involved parties
• Manage relationships with sellers, advisors, banks and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process
• Coordinate financial, legal, commercial and technical due diligence, assess key findings and ensure mitigation in transaction documentation
• Lead the internal investment and approval process
• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities and contribute to deal origination through your network and market activities
• Build relationships with sellers, banks and market participants; support NDAs, mandates and term sheets
• Develop, review and validate financial models used for project valuation and investment decisions

We are looking for a Senior Investment Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg and take responsibility for the origination, evaluation and execution of investments in the renewable energy sector.

You will play a key role throughout the transaction lifecycle, from identifying and assessing new opportunities through due diligence, negotiations and internal approvals to signing and closing.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently lead and manage investment and M&A transactions from origination through to closing
• Lead negotiations of transaction documentation and coordinate the various parties involved
• Manage relationships with sellers, advisors, banks and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process
• Coordinate financial, legal, commercial and technical due diligence, assess key findings and ensure appropriate mitigation in transaction documentation
• Lead the internal investment and approval process
• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities and actively contribute to deal origination through your network and market activities
• Build relationships with potential sellers, banks, advisors and other market participants and support the initial stages of transactions, including NDAs, mandates and term sheets
• Develop, review and validate financial models used for project valuation and investment decisions

Your Profile

• University degree in economics, business, engineering, business law or a comparable discipline
• 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, investment or M&A
• Strong transaction management and negotiation skills, with confidence in dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to take ownership and make decisions independently
• Structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach, combined with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent analytical and financial skills
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, as well as strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional languages are a plus
