Role Summary

In response to ongoing growth and strategic expansion, Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join their expert team. As a key member of the hardware development team, you will play a crucial part in delivering innovative electronic solutions for electric vehicles, making a lasting impact on the industry's future.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for circuit components and entire PCB assemblies, overseeing the product release process.
• Select appropriate components, establish and maintain supplier relationships, and contribute to development of comprehensive component libraries.
• Develop detailed circuit designs using Altium Designer, including schematic creation and PCB layout.
• Analyse and document design work, including compiling Hardware Safety Work Packages aligned with customer and internal safety standards.
• Plan and execute engineering tests, validation processes, and production testing, collaborating across departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• A recognised university degree in electronic or electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in electronics development, ideally within automotive or high-tech sectors.
• Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, with a strong emphasis on EMC optimisation techniques.
• Familiarity with Functional Safety standards such as ISO 26262 and insulation coordination standards like IEC 60664 is advantageous.
• Demonstrated motivation, responsibility, and ownership of complex projects.
• Innovative mindset with curiosity and enthusiasm for developing electronic solutions tailored to electric mobility.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is beneficial.
• Experience working with automotive safety standards or related industry certifications.
• Knowledge of other hardware development tools and methodologies.
