DOUGLAS Group seeks a senior Group Controlling lead to drive the finance organization, steer transformation programs, and enable value realization across Europe. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on business partnering, reporting to top management and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.

You will shape business cases, optimize processes, and implement end-to-end benefits tracking while leveraging SAP S/4HANA and BI tools to deliver decision-ready insights.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in controlling, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Several years in controlling, finance business partnering, performance management, or related role.
• Strong understanding of profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and financial KPIs.
• Experience in developing, evaluating, and tracking business cases and transformation performance.
• Analytical, structured, results-oriented, able to translate topics into insights.
• Interest in transformation, process optimization, digitalization, cross-functional projects.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; BI/planning/reporting tools advantageous.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or large-scale finance transformations advantageous.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder management.

Aufgaben

• Lead Group Controlling topics and drive development of the Finance organization.
• Provide senior controlling expertise for transformation and digitalization initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop, validate, and challenge business cases to ensure sound investment decisions and measurable value creation.
• Establish an end-to-end benefit tracking framework covering the entire journey from investment approval to value realization.
• Lead the financial steering of the transformation portfolio by identifying dependencies, risks, and value potential.
• Translate complex financial and operational information into fact-based recommendations for senior management.
• Act as a senior interface between Finance, IT, Global Process Design, the Transformation Office, and other functions.
• Align senior stakeholders around consistent steering principles, governance structures, and performance indicators.
• Own executive-level reporting on value creation, benefits realization, and transformation performance.
• Deliver clear, decision-ready insights to Executive Management and Steering Committees.

YOUR SKILLS

• Successfully completed degree in controlling, finance, accounting, business administration, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in controlling, finance business partnering, performance management, or a related role
• Excellent understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and financial performance indicators
• Proven experience in developing, evaluating, and tracking business cases, investment decisions, and transformation performance
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a structured and results-oriented approach
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and decision-ready insights
• Strong interest in transformation, process optimization, digitalization, and cross-functional project work
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in BI, planning, or reporting tools considered an advantage
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or large-scale finance transformations considered an advantage
• Excellent German and English language skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and senior stakeholder management capabilities
