We're looking for a senior engineer who's comfortable across the entire stack and enjoys shipping complete features rather than isolated tickets. You'll work closely with our product designer and directly with users to build tools that patent attorneys actually want to use. This isn't a role where you optimize a button color — you'll design database schemas in the morning and polish UI transitions in the afternoon.

What you'll do

• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring
• Build and maintain our Next.js web applications and Node.js backend services
• Design reliable data models and APIs that scale with our growing user base
• Collaborate directly with our product designer to ship polished, functional interfaces
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape our technical direction
• Review code from teammates and help maintain a high quality bar

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of professional experience building web applications
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React / Next.js
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Comfortable with server-side rendering, API design, and deployment pipelines
• You ship complete features, not just components — and you care about the details
• Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML integrations or working with LLMs
• Familiarity with the patent or legal tech domain
• Contributions to open source projects
• Experience working at an early-stage startup
