hubject-gmbh is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and operate a cloud-native platform supporting electric mobility services. You will work across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in Java/Spring Boot, Angular/TypeScript, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus automated testing and mentoring of peers in a collaborative Agile environment.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of hands-on experience building full-stack apps with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and SCSS.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems and modern architecture.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git in cloud-native environments.
• Fluent English and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Role overview

A senior engineering position focused on building and evolving a cloud-native platform that underpins electric mobility services. The work spans backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure, with responsibility for designing, developing, and operating scalable, secure, high-performing applications in close collaboration with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and TypeScript
• Build secure REST APIs and responsive user interfaces, applying clean code and modern software engineering practices
• Develop and operate cloud-native services on AWS using Docker, Kubernetes, and contemporary CI/CD pipelines
• Safeguard quality through automated testing, peer code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement
• Partner with product owners, designers, QA engineers, architects, and DevOps throughout the development lifecycle
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while improving reliability, scalability, and security
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to technical direction and engineering standards across the team

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and SCSS
• Solid grasp of microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and contemporary application architecture
• Practical experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git in cloud-native environments
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, plus automated testing frameworks
• Strong knowledge of clean code principles, design patterns, secure software development, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, and the ability to thrive in cross-functional Agile settings
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; fluent English
