ABOUT YOU, one of Europe’s fastest growing e‑commerce companies, is seeking a (Senior) Frontend Engineer to build high‑quality frontend features for our Web Shop using React and TypeScript. Based in Hamburg or Berlin, you will translate concepts into user friendly experiences.

You will own large projects, optimize performance, participate in code reviews, and contribute to frontend architecture and workflows. 4+ years in frontend, strong React, HTML, CSS, and REST API skills required.

Qualifikationen

• At least 4 years of frontend development experience.
• Deep experience with React and its ecosystem (hooks, context).
• Strong HTML and modern CSS skills (responsive design).
• Solid understanding of frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and managing app state (Redux, Zustand, React Query).
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite) and package managers (npm, yarn).
• Strong knowledge of web performance and accessibility, CI/CD, and Git.

• Develop and maintain high-quality, performant frontend features for our Web Shop (Desktop, Mobile Web, Tablet) using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and QA to translate concepts into reliable features.
• Take ownership of large-scale projects from conception to deployment with minimal oversight.
• Participate in code reviews and improve frontend architecture and development workflows.
• Ongoing performance optimization (Core Web Vitals) and accessibility improvements.

• Develop and maintain high-quality, performant, and scalable frontend features for our Web Shop (Desktop, Mobile Web, Tablet) using React and TypeScript


• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and QA managers to translate concepts and requirements into user-friendly and reliable features


• Take an active role in solving complex technical problems and architecting innovative, sustainable frontend solutions


• Take ownership of large-scale projects from conception to deployment, requiring little oversight


• Foster a culture of high-quality code, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing


• Actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices


• Contribute to optimizing our frontend architecture, performance (Core Web Vitals), and development workflows

• High autonomy and ownership: You are motivated, take matters into your own hands, and can lead a complex project or process with little oversight from your manager

Nice to have

• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR)


• Experience working in a large-scale e-commerce environment


• Knowledge of Node.js


• Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library


• Experience with end-to-end testing tools like Cypress
