Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a skilled frontend engineer to shape a data-heavy web application for engineers and planners at a German transmission system operator. You will own the UI from data import/validation to filtering and visualization, collaborating with backend and content platform experts.

You will implement microfrontends with Tailwind and Radix UI, work with Nest.js for frontend-for-backend layers, and deploy via Azure DevOps to Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Sitecore XM Cloud or comparable.
• Proven experience with microfrontend architectures and with backend-for-frontend implementations using Nest.js.
• 3+ years of experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS in modern web applications, including Tailwind CSS and UI component libraries such as Radix UI or comparable.
• Experience developing data-intensive web applications, including bulk data processing.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monorepo-based development environments.
• Fluent German (C1) and very good English for working with the client, joining technical discussions, and writing documentation.

About The Role

In this role, you will shape the user experience of a modern web application that gives engineers and planners at a German transmission system operator clear, fast access to technical asset information. You will own the interface of a data-heavy product, from importing and validating structured data to filtering and visualizing it, working side by side with backend and content platform specialists.

Responsibilities

• Develop the application frontend with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, creating fast, accessible interfaces for data-heavy workflows
• Build and maintain the backend-for-frontend layer with Nest.js, serving the UI through REST and GraphQL APIs
• Integrate the application with Sitecore XM Cloud or a comparable headless CMS to deliver managed content reliably
• Implement bulk import and export of structured data (for example from Excel), including validation, filtering, and visualisation
• Structure the UI as microfrontends, using Tailwind CSS and Radix UI components to keep it consistent and easy to extend
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and client stakeholders to turn business needs into usable features
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and deploy to Microsoft Azure
• Contribute to code reviews and share frontend best practices within the team
