Heidelberg Engineering seeks a Senior FPGA Developer to design digital hardware with FPGAs (VHDL/HLS) and verify modules using HDL testbenches. You will work on high-speed interfaces for image processing and contribute to embedded vision features, collaborating across departments and with external partners.

Requirements include a strong university degree in electrical engineering, electronics or physics and at least two years of FPGA-focused experience.

• At least two years of relevant experience in digital circuit development with FPGAs.
• German and English proficiency (spoken and written).

For the development of new innovative solutions we are looking for a Senior FPGA Developer (m/f/d) within our Research & Development department.

• Digital hardware design with FPGAs (VHDL/HLS)
• Development and test of high-speed interfaces for image processing
• Development of new features and concepts in the embedded vision area with FPGAs
• Module verification in hardware and using HDL testbenches
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with internal departments and external partners
• Support in the development of new device platforms
• Selection and qualification as well as customization of off-the-shelf components
• Very good university degree in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, physics or comparable qualifications
• At least two years of relevant professional experience in the field of digital circuit development with FPGAs
• Experience with embedded software development is an advantage
• Profound knowledge in control engineering and software programming (C/C++) is an advantage
• Experience in working with external service providers
