Job summary

roadsurfer is seeking a seasoned FP&A/Controlling professional to own the group-wide planning cycle and liquidity forecasting. You will drive the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and long-term financial planning, turning data into clear recommendations for leadership.

With 4+ years in FP&A or Controlling and strong Excel skills, you will bring ownership, structured thinking, and the ability to explain complex topics to finance and non-finance colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial planning & analysis and controlling across business units.
• Strong ability to analyze data and build financial models.
• High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with AI tools and automation.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end projects and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the group-wide planning cycle: annual budget and quarterly reforecasts across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Lead liquidity planning with weekly cash flow forecasts and long-term projections.
• Identify deviations, explain drivers, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Drive automation and standardise controlling processes to scale data and systems.

The role - your passion

You own the group-wide planning cycle: the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow. Along the way, you keep making the process faster, more accurate and more scalable. You lead our liquidity planning, from weekly rolling cash flow forecasts to short- and long-term financial planning, and give management a clear view of our cash position. You spot deviations from plan early, dig into the underlying drivers and turn complex data into clear recommendations that help leadership steer the business. You drive automation and standardised controlling processes so that our data, processes and systems scale with roadsurfer's growth.

What you need to surf the wave with us

• At least 4+ years of experience in FP&A or Controlling, or in financial advisory (e.g. Transaction Services)
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills: you love the details without losing sight of the bigger picture
• Advanced Excel skills, plus experience with or genuine curiosity for AI tools and automation
• Real ownership: you run projects end to end, find your way when things aren't fully defined yet and keep raising the bar on how we work
• You explain complex topics in a clear, structured way, to finance and non-finance people alike
• Fluent English; German is a plus
