United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Fire Safety Design professional to lead safety concepts for timber buildings in high classes, coordinating with architecture, engineering and MEP teams. The role focuses on implementing advanced safety solutions and evolving certification strategies within a dynamic product line.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in German and Austrian regulations, fluent German, and a track record of delivering fire safety strategies in timber

• Proficiency with German/Austrian codes and regulations.
• Experience in developing fire safety strategies.
• Fluent German language skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop fire safety design concepts for timber buildings in classes 4 and 5.
• Implement state-of-the-art solutions for our residential building product.
• Coordinate across Architecture, Engineering, MEP, Building Physics, Acoustics.
• Advance certification strategies for the building product.
• Design and coordinate physical tests at prototyping center and with external labs.
• Engage with authorities, consultants and institutes.
• Contribute to industry discourse on fire safety regulations in Germany.

What you’ll be doing

• Fire Safety Design and Product Development for timber buildings in building class 4 and 5


• Implementation of state-of-the-art solutions in our residential Building Product


• Constant and controlled evolution of the Product within the Series- and Change Management


• Coordination with design disciplines like Architecture, Engineering, MEP, Building Physics, Acoustics, and Energy Design


• Contribute to the improvement of short-term and long-term certification strategies of our building product


• Design and coordinate physical tests in the the company prototyping center at our factory and with external testing institutes


• Communication with external consultants, authorities, and institutes


• Contribute to the public discourse over the advancement of fire safety regulations in Germany through various involvements of the company

About you

Must have

• Experience in the construction industry and project experience in LP5+ project stage in Germany and/or Austria


• Proficiency in relevant German and/or Austrian regulations and codes


• Experience in developing fire safety strategies


• Fluent German skills

Nice to have

• Experience in residential buildings of building class 4 and/or 5


• Experience in timber construction


• Experience in certification of products


• Experience in Rhino or Revit a plus, alternatively AutoCAD


• Fluent English skills
