Shine, a European fintech unicorn, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Berlin to lead budgeting across entities and design rolling forecasts. You will build scalable financial models and translate data into actionable insights for leadership, connecting operational KPIs with financial statements.

You will collaborate with Finance, Strategy and Data Analytics, drive automation and help implement new planning tools to modernize forecasting. English fluency is required.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of FP&A, finance, or business analysis experience.
• A data-driven mindset with ability to connect numbers to business realities.
• Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to simplify analyses into business narratives.
• Experience with planning tools (e.g. Anaplan, LucaNet, Jedox) or data querying (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and AI tools.
• Agile and collaborative approach - thrive in dynamic, fast-scaling environments.
• Fluent in English.

Financial Planning & Modelling at Shine

Our Financial Planning & Modelling team sits at the heart of strategic decision-making. We partner closely with Business Finance, Data Analytics, and Leadership to drive clarity and confidence in our company’s growth trajectory - through data-driven modelling, forecasting, and strategic insight.

As our business expands across new markets and entities, we’re scaling our FP&A capabilities to match. That’s where you come in.

Your Role as a Senior Financial Analyst

• Lead and consolidate budgets across all business entities, ensuring financial alignment company-wide - owning complex workstreams independently from start to finish.
• Design and implement rolling forecasts and establish a continuous planning mindset.
• Build and maintain complex financial models that enable scenario, sensitivity, and long-term planning — including auditing and restructuring legacy models to improve scalability.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights to help leaders make the right strategic choices, with a strong command of the bridge between operational KPIs and financial statements (P&L, BS, CF).
• Collaborate across teams — acting as a strategic link between Finance, Strategy, and Data Analytics.
• Drive efficiency across the team by automating manual reporting tasks and championing AI-powered tools to accelerate delivery and insight.
• Support the implementation of a planning tool as we modernize our forecasting ecosystem.

About you

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or business analysis
• A data-driven mindset, passionate about connecting numbers to business realities.
• Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to simplify complex analyses into business narratives.
• Experience with (or curiosity for) planning tools (e.g. Anaplan, LucaNet, Jedox) or data querying (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and AI tools — from LLM-assisted analysis to automation workflows.
• Agile and collaborative approach - thriving in dynamic and fast-scaling environments.
• Fluent in English
