Job summary

osapiens, headquartered in Mannheim, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead and optimize accounting for global entities in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You will own financial processes, support audits, and drive scalable controls while collaborating with international teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional accounting experience in an international environment.
• Experience with annual financial statement audits and accounting projects.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax law; IFRS/US GAAP a plus.
• Ability to navigate complex IT landscapes and digitalize processes.
• Fluent German and very good English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Independent recording and processing of all ongoing business transactions including AP, fixed assets, and GL accounting.
• Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Germany and abroad.
• Full financial responsibility for selected entities, including audit support and reporting.
• Execute and monitor group-wide payment transactions.
• Clarify accounting principles with tax advisors, auditors, and controlling.
• Perform account and intercompany reconciliations and statistical reporting.
• Act as finance business partner to departments and subsidiaries.
• Onboard and integrate new entities into the accounting system landscape.
• Continuously develop processes and internal controls for fast close readiness.
• Participate in ERP implementations, internationalization, or M&A projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Accounting: Independent recording and processing of all ongoing business transactions, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting, as well as postings for banks, cash, credit cards, and travel expenses.


• Financial Statements: Coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all osapiens entities in Germany and abroad.


• 360° Responsibility: Full financial responsibility for selected osapiens entities, including audit support, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.


• Payments: Execution and monitoring of group-wide payment transactions.


• Accounting & Reporting Standards: Clarification of accounting principles and handling of complex business transactions in cooperation with tax advisors, auditors, and controlling.


• Reconciliations: Responsibility for account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and statistical reporting.


• Business Partnering: Supporting specialist departments and international subsidiaries as a competent finance business partner.


• Integration: Onboarding and integration of new entities into the accounting system landscape.


• Optimization: Continuous development of existing processes and systems, particularly in the areas of fast close readiness and internal control systems.


• Projects: Participation in special projects such as the implementation of a new ERP system, internationalization initiatives, or M&A processes.

Your Experience

• Completed vocational training with further qualification as a tax clerk or certified accountant, or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting.


• Several years of professional experience (at least 3–5 years) in accounting, including strong experience with annual financial statement audits and accounting‑related projects, ideally in an international environment.


• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax law; additional knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP (including SOX) is an advantage.


• Ability to work within complex IT system landscapes and further develop them; experience in standardizing and digitalizing accounting processes.


• Confident user of Excel and CRM systems.


• You’ll work with Oracle NetSuite, our modern cloud ERP platform – no legacy systems, no manual workarounds, just clean, real‑time financial data. No prior NetSuite experience required – thanks to its modern, user‑friendly interface, you'll be able to get up to speed quickly.


• Business proficient German Skills (C1) and very good English skills (B2), both written and spoken.
