Job summary

Exyte GmbH invites a Senior Engineer to lead the design and construction of plant utility systems for industrial projects in Germany. You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet technical specifications and project goals.

The role requires several years in utilities design, strong CAD/MS Office skills, and fluency in German and English, with travel willingness for multi-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in building services, power generation engineering or thermomechanical engineering or training as a technician with several years of professional experience.
• Several years of experience in design and construction of complex plant utility systems in a project environment.
• Project experience in Germany is mandatory.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.
• Proficient in CAD and MS Office with problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and construction of utility systems for industrial plants, including heating, cooling, steam, sanitary, and fire protection (sprinkler) systems, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Prepare design documentation, including feasibility study, concept, basic and detail design.
• Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to ensure technical specifications and project goals are met.
• Oversee external planning partners and manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, including negotiations with suppliers.
• Supervise the construction phase to ensure all systems are implemented as designed.

As a Senior Engineer for Plant Utility / Black Media, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of challenging projects. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, specifically in utility systems (heating, cooling, steam, sanitary, and sprinkler systems), will drive the design and construction of these systems. You will be a connection between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and successful project completion.
