Overview

Senior Engineer (m/f/d) RD&E for our Global Membrane Cleaning & Circularity Center of Excellence in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Work within global projects in the space of membrane cleaning, digital innovation and water reuse+recycling / chemical circularity within our industrial division.
• Join the Nalco Water Division in Leiden, with strong connection to the Center of Excellence for membrane cleaning and water/chemical circularity located in Monheim, Germany; develop solutions in the lab and upscale in the pilot center testing on membrane plants with customers (e.g., Dairy, Brew & Beverage, Food).
• Collaborate with regional teams and external partners (customers, suppliers, universities) to drive innovations across the globe; design, plan, analyze and report lab and pilot experiments; manage field trials at customer sites in Europe.
• Design prototypes and perform data analysis for digital innovation and sensor testing; drive multiple million-dollar projects using Phase and Gate review processes.
• Manage (sub-) projects within global innovation initiatives and execute field trials at EU customer sites.

Your Profile

• Passion and curiosity to solve complex problems.
• Graduate level (M.Sc., PhD) in chemical engineering, environmental engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in related fields.
• Preferred experience in water and/or chemical circularity and membrane technology.
• Background in R&D work and excellent project management skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer interaction and field testing.
• Fluent in written and spoken English is required.
