Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Energy Casualty Risk Engineer to manage risk portfolios and deliver consultative risk mitigation across U.S. accounts.

You will support underwriting with risk assessments, present capabilities to customers and brokers, and ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of engineering services. The role requires deep energy sector exposure (downstream/midstream/upstream), strong communication, and a proactive, self-starting mindset with up to 50% travel.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or OGP EHS.
• 5+ years in downstream, midstream, and/or upstream operations.
• Experience in energy casualty risk engineering and loss control.
• Strong consultative and risk reduction skills.
• Sales mindset; fee-for-service experience a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter; works independently and takes initiative.
• Oil and gas expertise with practical risk insights.
• Familiar with OSHA, DOT, OGP safety, and fleet programs.

• Perform field risk assessments to evaluate casualty and environmental exposures and control effectiveness at insured locations across the United States, primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
• Provide consultative and risk mitigation services to customers.
• Identify exposures with significant loss potential.
• Conduct root cause investigations of major losses.
• Evaluate safety management programs.
• Assist in marketing risk engineering services with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
• Service customers within the U.S. with expected travel up to 50%.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Energy Casualty Risk Engineering area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Energy Casualty Risk Engineering area OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an associate's degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Energy Casualty Risk Engineering area
• Experience working in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or OGP EHS
• 5+ years in downstream, midstream, and/or upstream operations
• Insurance loss control/risk engineering experience is a plus
• Strong consultative, risk reduction skills
• Sales mindset; fee-for-service experience a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Proficient computer and software skills
• Self-starter; works independently, and takes initiative
• Customer-centric and relationship oriented with both internal and external stakeholders
• Oil and gas expertise with practical risk insights
