Zusammenfassung

TK Elevator Innovation and Operations GmbH in Hamburg seeks a senior electronics/embedded engineer to design and test C/C++ software for ARM-based control systems and develop electrical systems for escalators. You will create circuit diagrams, PLC templates, and assist with functional safety and cybersecurity certification across global sites.

Experience in Siemens S7, TwinCAT, EPLAN or Altium is preferred. English and German language skills required, with willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Strong microcontroller programming skills in C/C++, ideally complemented by PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens S7, TwinCAT).
• 5-10 years of professional experience in R&D, preferably in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with IAR Embedded Workbench and Atlassian tools; Parasoft, TwinCAT, EPLAN, or Altium are an advantage.
• Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 62443; experience in elevator/escalator sector is an advantage.
• Functional Safety Engineer certification is an advantage.
• Electrical testing experience (electrical safety, EMC) is an advantage.
• Project management knowledge is an advantage.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a structured way of working.
• High initiative and enthusiasm for technical innovation.
• Business fluent in English and German.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Aufgaben

• Specification, programming, and testing of embedded software in C/C++ for ARM-based control systems.
• Development and design of electrical systems for escalators, including drives, safety, lighting, and sensors.
• Creation and maintenance of complex circuit diagrams, assembly layouts and project templates including programming of PLC-based simulators and test benches.
• Certification of functional safety and cybersecurity systems according to IEC 61508 and IEC 62443.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Service.
• Definition and execution of test plans for validating designs against acceptance criteria.
• Technical support during commissioning, testing, and failure analysis at national and international customer sites.

The Product Design Center of TK Elevator Innovation and Operations GmbH is responsible for the development of product features, harmonized global product platforms, as well as the conception and development of complete escalator and moving walk system types. Working in international teams alongside colleagues from our development centers in China and Spain, we create innovations for the efficient escalators and moving walks of the future.

The international nature of our work is reflected in the close collaboration and regular exchange with experts from various engineering disciplines worldwide. In addition, our proximity to manufacturing at our Hamburg site ensures close integration between development and production, enabling us to support development projects directly on the production line and through their market launch.

What we expect

Who we are looking for
